I didn't discover your blog until nearly the end of your hiatus, so the 2008 posts were already quite... seasoned by then, shall we say. Even so, I still found them full of interesting material -- enough that I read through them all, anyhow!
I've commented before my appreciation for your copious amount of posts, and the fact you can DOWN select to 40 from ONE year (and the first year!) of your blog just confirms that! I have to admit I was ho-hum about your anthology idea, but seeing this index of Vol 1 has changed my mind (having just found the blog maybe a year ago, I've dug thru and read many). Thanks for making them all links to the posts as well, or I would have been simultaneously cursing you under my breath jumping to the blog to read them. I don't envy your job of finding a title for each volume, given the diversity of topics. I like the First Age of Grognardia idea, but maybe with a subtitle, like 'How it all Began', to steal one of the post titles.
I just found your Substack after years of not reading your blog (my rss reader died and I never found another). Seeing this post, I hoped to see some Dwimmermount posts, and I’m not disappointed. Looking forward to reading your stuff again.

I know I've already said it, but I'm a big fan of this post and the series it engendered: https://grognardia.blogspot.com/2008/06/best-cover-ever.html
Lots of people have been suggesting I include that particular post in Volume 1. I may have to consider it more seriously.

Thank you for your kind words. I'm always glad to know that someone's been enjoying my writing. That means a lot to me.

If you have any specific posts you think should be included, please let me know.
